Our Culinary Promise

Our cuisine combines the highest quality with a mindful approach to natural resources.
Sustainability is at the heart of our culinary concept – from selecting our producers to preparing dishes on the plate.

Whenever possible, our ingredients come from Nidwalden and Central Switzerland. By working closely with regional producers, we ensure short transport routes, freshness, and full transparency of origin. Fresh herbs, vegetables, and responsibly sourced meat form the foundation of our dishes.

Iconic Architecture

Joseph’s is part of the visionary TITLIS project, making the summit at over 3,000 meters an entirely new experience.
At its heart is the TITLIS Tower, designed by the world-renowned architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron. The existing steel structure from the 1980s was transformed into an iconic, cross-shaped landmark.

At the very top, the Horizon Deck offers spectacular 360° views of the Swiss Alps. Two glass-clad steel structures house Joseph’s Restaurant and the Bucherer boutique.

The name Joseph’s pays tribute to Engelberg native Joseph Kuster, who, together with Willy Amrhein, was the first to ski the Titlis on January 21, 1904. Their courage and pioneering spirit continue to inspire our concept today – a culinary experience that honors the region while charting new paths.
